One Match and a Gallon of Gasoline

Well, I can't really think of a better way to ease into this so here goes:

Left Hemispheres is ending.

Not only the podcast, but the blog will no longer be active within the next week. We'll talk about what brought about this decision, our reactions to it and what we'll all be doing moving forward in the forthcoming Episode #20 of the LH podcast (out in the next few days), but I wanted to give everyone a brief 'head's up' in print.

It's been a lot of fun and we have all learned an incredible amount in the nearly three years this space existed. For anyone struggling to put together their arguments on any subject, the best advice I can give is to write about it. Construct them. Revise them. Critique them. Revise them. And put them out there for everyone to potentially see. Revise again.

Endless thanks to those who took the time to read and comment on our stuff and those that listened to the show. It never would have lasted as long as it did if there was no one listening and interacting. Thank you to the many other bloggers that inspired us and those we became good friends with. A special thank you to Andy from Laughing in Purgatory for writing the incredibly prescient guestpost "Atheists Sects Exposed" literally days before the Atheism Plus thing dropped. He also contributed to our podcast show on multiple occasions as a guest, a guest host and his own segment. We would also like to thank Martin Pribble and Troythulu for appearing on the show as well as sharing our posts thereby helping us gain a larger audience.

It's been great. It's just time to move on. The four of us at LH are are still good friends and we'll be on Internet in some form or another. See you out there. Thank you for everything.

Thanks, Guys, for the well-considered arguments, interesting posts, and the terrific podcast.

It'll be sad to see them go, but I'll see you elsewhere and elsewhen on the Web.

Stay brilliant.

You should start a subreddit. Your material is quite good.

Well, thanks for all the fish. (now, what well I listen to while walking around the grocery store at midnight?)

It was with a heavy heart I did this last bit. I felt the podcast gave me some valuable time to talk to people. I don't know if I have the technical expertise/time to do a podcast all on my own, but wouldn't be against the idea of co-hosting something...

Damn guys, that sucks. I will miss your blog, and am sad I didn't get another chance to be on your podcast. Don't be strangers, and ALL of you are welcome to submit guest posts at my blog anytime.

Stay awesome. Martin
